Summa Leadership
Introducing a new corporate learning partnership
Dr Jack Groppel and corporate learning experts Diana Thomas, MBA, ACC, and Mary McNevin, Ed.D., launched Summa Leadership, an initiative designed to enhance personal and professional performance through a brain science-based approach.
Instead of simply announcing the partnership in a traditional corporate PR format, they wanted to demonstrate their thought leadership with a content piece that showcased their innovative ideas and approach to high performance.

The Brief
The goal was to introduce the collaboration of Groppel, Thomas, and McNevin in a way that positioned Summa Leadership as a forward-thinking initiative, avoiding the usual promotional tone of corporate announcements.
The focus of the article was how incorporating neuroplasticity into a learning or coaching experience helps learners alter the ways their brains react to certain stimuli and program their neurons out of default negative responses. This method focuses on helping individuals achieve peak performance, even when faced with the increasing pressures of today’s professional environment.

Solution
Starting with an information-gathering meeting, Brighter Messaging worked closely with the Summa Leadership team to capture the essence of their message.
We created an article outline before fleshing out the content. In the article, we highlighted how neuroplasticity will be the main character in the next great chapter of performance improvement and challenged the reader to keep learning about this topic.
This article demonstrated thought leadership by showcasing Summa Leadership’s innovative approach to corporate learning through a focus on neuroplasticity, positioning it as a forward-thinking initiative.
The piece provided readers with valuable insights into new learning strategies, encouraging continued exploration of the topic. Publishing in a respected industry magazine like Chief Learning Officer further solidified the authors’ expertise and leadership in the field.
